El
pasado viernes, 14 de marzo, la Asociación Sereno que organiza actividades de
Tiempo Libre para el Ayuntamiento de Zamora, invitó a la Sociedad Protectora de
Animales Scooby ha participar en una charla para jóvenes sobre el cuidado y
bienestar de los animales, además de dar a conocer el trabajo y la labor que
desarrolla Scooby.
Durante
algo más de una hora, el Presidente, Fermín Pérez, les contó los orígenes y el
desarrollo de la Protectora, además de las historias de algunos de nuestros
animales. Por otra parte se les invitó y animó a formar parte del voluntariado
en Zamora. Acompañándole se encontraban algunos de los voluntarios zamoranos
más implicados con Scooby.
La
gran mayoría de los chavales nos contaron que tenían mascotas y que eran ellos
los encargados de cuidarlos.
Fue
una tarde entretenida y amena en la que Scooby sigue realizando su trabajo de
concienciación y sensibilización con los jóvenes, eje fundamental del futuro
para nuestros animales.
Desde
la Protectora queremos agradecer a la Asociación Sereno, y al Ayuntamiento de
Zamora la oportunidad que nos brindan de acercarnos a la población zamorana.
Raising
awareness in Zamora
Last friday, the 14th of march, the Sereno Association
that organises Free Time activities for
the city council of Zamora,
invited the Sociedad Protectora de Animales Scooby to participate in a lecture
for the youth about the care and wellbeing of animals, besides getting to know
the work they do at Scooby.
Over more than an hour, the President, Fermin Perez,
told them about the start and the development of the Protectora, and about the
history of a few of our animals. On the other hand he invited and encouraged them to form part of the
volunteer force in Zamora. He was accompanied by some of the most
involved volunteers at Scooby from Zamora.
The majority of the youngsters told us they had pets
and that they were the ones responsible for taking care of them.
It was an enjoyable afternoon where Scooby is doing
it’s job to raise the awareness with the
young people, the cornerstone of the future of our animals.
From the Protectora we would like to thank the Sereno
Association, and the Citycouncil of Zamora for the opportunity they gave us to
get close to the people of Zamora.
